In just 3 days we are going to take you on a journey to experience all the Cradle Coast has to offer on our Cradle Coast Three Day Tour.
- Day 1Arrive Devonport (or Burnie) where you will be met by your tour guide/ driver for the next 3-days. Stanley, Boat Harbour and Table Cape area are on the agenda today. This fabulous day out includes the opportunity to climb Stanley’s famous rock called “the Nut”, a quick trip into the Tarkine, to see some of the huge trees that grow in this area. Morning tea on pure white Boat Harbour beach is something to cherish for years, as is the view from atop table Cape lookout, near Wynyard. Who knows, we may even spot a Platypus at Burnie’s Fern Glade Reserve as well. Overnight in accommodation (either Burnie or Devonport) on the NW Coast of Tasmania.
- Day 2Today it’s Cradle Mountain, in all its splendour. Whether it is covered in snow or bathed in sunshine, Cradle Mountain is spectacular in any weather. The landscape on the Central Plateau area around Cradle Mountain is glacial and rugged, great for photographers and outdoors people to discover. On this trip, we also call into Waratah, to see the mining heritage of a bygone era kept intact. We also explore Sheffield’s wonderful Murals that have made the town famous. Overnight Devonport.
- Day 3Today, we venture along the very popular “Foodie” Trail as we head towards Launceston and the Tamar valley. This is when we get to sample many of Tasmania’s famous food and beverages, such as cheese, chocolate, fish, honey and berries. We get time to explore Launceston’s famous Cataract Gorge, before heading up the Tamar River valley and sampling some of the wineries that this area is famous for. On the way back, we call into Beaconsfield, the gold mining town made famous by the disaster a few years ago that featured so heavily in the media. Overnight Devonport, or fly out to destinations on mainland Australia, weary but happy to have had a 3-day taster of NW and Northern Tasmania.
Congratulations – your Three Day Cradle Coast Tour has taken you on a journey to experience the incredible and largely untouched region of north west Tasmania. Your memories will be with you for ever.
